The Energy Storage System Lead Engineer is responsible for supporting the Director of Energy Storage System in all aspects of the engineering, project management, project control, health, safety and environmental management, quality management, administration, permitting, procurement and construction of battery energy storage systems or equivalent energy storage system alternative. The Lead Engineer will be accountable for the technical aspects of projects during the design, construction, commissioning phases including the engineering design, including pre-design, basic design, documentation, detailed design, material and procurement, permitting, construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning to ensure the successful delivery of energy storage system projects compliant with regulatory and quality requirements.
Desired Qualification:
- Minimum of 7 years in energy storage or energy construction, with at least 3 years in a project leadership role overseeing the engineering, procurement and construction of battery or energy storage systems.
- Strong technical knowledge of battery or energy storage engineering, procurement and construction methods, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
