ISU Solution Architect (Director level)
Our client is looking for a SAP IS-U Solutions Architect Director to join their SAP Division.
This is a Full time role.
Responsibilities:
· Provide expertise in SAP IS-U (Industry Solution for Utilities) industry best practices
· Provide Utilities Industry best practices related to design and implementation of integrated SAP IS-U/CIS solutions
· Working directly with Functional Leads, integrated design and implementation responsibility for related Back-Office (FICA, Billing, DM/AMI, Exceptions Management) and Front Office (Service, Sales)
· Lead solution scope and execution of Conference Room Pilots (CRP) within Build Phase
· Solution oversight of design/implementation of 3rd party integrated solutions critical to client’s business operations
· Solution governance of key non-SAP solutions and providers critical to integrated solutions (SEW, TRC (GSX) & PayGo)
· Solution oversite/advisement to Cutover workstream related to best practice for Cutover approach, Dress Rehearsal, and Operational Readiness Testing (Bill Compare, Financial data reconciliation approach)
· Solution oversite/advisement to the Data Conversion workstream related to functional best practices for data conversion and reconciliation approach
· Solution oversite/advisement to the Testing workstream related to functional best practices for testing scope, test scenario/case creation and SIT/UAT execution approach
· Solution oversite/advisement to the Business Integration (OCM) workstream related to functional change impacts and training approach
· Solution oversite/advisement to the Technical workstream related to functional requirements/inputs for integrated environment landscape, performance testing, and Build (development) execution.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment of integrated solutions.
· Conduct regular system audits and performance reviews to identify and address potential issues.
· Mentor and guide junior team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
· Facilitate team and client facing workshops to enhance total project team capabilities and knowledge.
Required Qualifications:
· 15+ years of hands-on experience in SAP IS-U implementations, including modules such as Billing, FICA, Device Management (DM/AMI), Customer Service, and Work Management.
· Deep understanding of SAP ECC and S/4 HANA Utilities, including integration with third-party systems like SEW, TRC (GSX), and PayGo
· Proficiency in solution architecture, including blueprinting, configuration, testing (SIT/UAT), and deployment phases.
· Experience with cutover planning, dress rehearsals, and operational readiness testing (e.g., bill compare, financial reconciliation).
· Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across Build, Test, and Deploy phases, including oversight of OCM, Data Conversion, and Technical workstreams.
· Experience conducting and managing Conference Room Pilots (CRPs) and workshops for solution validation.
· Strong governance skills for non-SAP solutions and vendor management.
· In-depth knowledge of utilities industry best practices, especially in customer information systems (CIS) and SAP IS-U.
· Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in the utilities sector.
· Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to liaise with business users, IT teams, and external vendors.
· Ability to mentor junior consultants and foster a culture of continuous learning.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to manage complex business requirements.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or Business or equivalent experience
