Job Description:
Our client is looking for an Oracle Developer. Activities will include writing and maintaining a combination of Oracle Forms 12c, Oracle Reports 12, SQL, PL/SQL, Pro*C, and Pro*COBOL in an Oracle 12c database environment.
This is a full-time position.
This position is remote, but Canada is a preferred location.
Job Requirements:
At least 5 years experience working as a Software Developer
Familiarity with navigating UNIX environments (AIX is a plus) and using basic UNIX utilities
Editors: vi or emacs
Utilities: awk, diff, find, grep, sed, tar.
Experience developing
UNIX shell scripting (sh, ksh)
Pro*C (or C/C++)
Pro*COBOL (or rudimentary understanding of COBOL syntax)
5+ years of Oracle development experience
Developing and maintaining PL/SQL (packages, procedures, functions, and triggers) that contains complex queries and performs extensive file I/O
Oracle Forms
Oracle Reports is a plus
Oracle IDEs: SQL Developer, PL/SQL Developer, or T.O.A.D.
Understanding of application business processes and how they can be improved through application of technology
