Job Description:
Our client is looking for a Process Analyst to focus on driving efficiency through continuous improvement and structured process management.
Hybrid role with 75% onsite work required in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
Core Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence: Lead business improvement projects using methodologies like Lean Six Sigma and QI Storyboards to identify bottlenecks, and identify and implement strategic solutions.
- Process Design & Automation: Lead the design and modification of business processes to streamline operations and integrate new technologies or automation tools.
- Performance Monitoring: Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and historical data to identify systemic drivers of under-performance and recommend interventions.
- Project Governance: Develop KPIs, Metrics and Control plans to ensure project improvements are sustained after completion and maintain accurate documentation of all workflows and test plans.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a bridge between business and technology functions, facilitating workshops to promote a culture of continuous improvement across departments.
- Compliance & Risk: Ensure all modified processes comply with corporate policies and local, state, and federal regulations.
- Identifies and recommends process improvements and/or automation opportunities to enhance the productivity and operational efficiency of the business
- Serves as a consultant, providing advice, business expertise, and recommendations on business and/or operational processes
- Challenges existing processes and makes change recommendations to improve safety, costs, customer and other KPI improvements
- Facilitates the documentation of processes and control
- Defines, designs, and supports process improvement initiatives across multifunctional areas and ensures alignment with the overall organizational strategy
- Leverages and partners with all impacted business units including operations, customer service, engineering, IT, audits, risk management and other departments to drive and deliver improvements to the processes
- Identifies points of process risks or potential failure and makes recommendations to control risk, follow process through to completion
- Develops prioritized implementation plan to ensure process improvements are realized
- If needed project manages the process and technology change
- Capable of managing 3-6 processes of medium to high complexity
- Gathers, prioritizes and explains user requirements to support project activities, process improvements, systems development, etc
- Prioritizes and manages own workload, and possibly the workload of others, in order to deliver quality results and meet pre-determined timelines
- Represents the business and provide coordination within the business, with external service providers and other areas within the utility, on high risk/impact, major projects, and/or operational processes
- Uses project management software / tools and applicable templates to prepare documentation, track, monitor and report information, and maintain database(s) as applicable
- Ensures accuracy in preparing and promptly completing all required supporting documentation for assigned projects/tasks (i.e., reports, change requests, presentations, invoices, correspondence/communications, tables, charts, files, etc.)
- Identifies, takes ownership and/or assists with resolution of issues as they arise, or escalation of issues as appropriate
- Participates as a member of the team in executing assigned deliverables within specified parameters if required
- Keeps business leaders and other team members informed and up-to-date about the status/progress of projects, and all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities
- Supports the project team and the business by continuously developing knowledge in own area
- Leads and manages a team of direct reports, ensuring continuous development of the team through ongoing coaching and feedback if required
- Delivers pre and post implementation validations and ensure product is delivered in accordance with business requirements
- Supports the creation and integration of process enhancements
- Creates analytical plans to help guide each systematic exercise
- Manages the inventory of Champion vs. Challenger testing and deliver performance results
- Delivers ad hoc analytics to support new business initiatives and help influence project decisions
Key Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related technical field is typically required; a Master's degree is often preferred for senior roles.
- Certifications: Strong preference for Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) or equivalent quality certifications.
- Experience: 5-15 years within the T&D Engineering and Operations Utility sector with 2+ years in process management specialized roles.
- Skills: Proficiency in data analysis, Microsoft Excel/Power BI, Tableau and project management software Performance and Visual Management, SQL, SAS, Teradata, Python, R programming,
- Process Management: Skilled in Visio or client specific process mapping software Ability to identify process gaps and weaknesses. Ability to prepare and present findings and recommendations in a methodical manner. Ability to consult on the largest and most complex project
