Category Manager

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for goods and services procurement at DC Water, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.
• Previous experience in operations consulting, project management, or related field, with a focus on HR Utilize knowledge of finance, banking, and cost estimating to optimize procurement processes and achieve cost savings.
• Experience in contract administration and financial reporting, with experience in cost estimating.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• HR, benefits experience is a plus.
• Proven experience in procurement, category management, or supply chain management, preferably in a utilities or similar industry.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to drive favorable outcomes in supplier contracts. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in financial analysis and cost estimating.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools, with experience in strategic sourcing and vendor management platforms.
