The Distribution Designer (Remote) position maintains and updates Our Client’s GIS system and utilizes Our Client’s DDS to design electrical distribution systems including but not limited to: Overhead and underground circuits for joint use, lighting, reliability, asset management and commercial, industrial and residential development.
Our Utility Client utilizes Environmental Systems Research Institutes’ (Esri) ArcGIS Utility Network and GeoSpatial Innovations, Inc (GSI) Distribution Design Studio (DDS) for end-to-end electric distribution design and engineering state of art platform that integrates with ArcGIS Utility Network and their new advanced distribution management system (ADMS).
Desired Qualification:
· 1-2 years of Career Experience with GIS updating, maintaining GIS and supporting work order preparation
· 1-2 years of Distribution Design Experience supporting or performing work order preparation
· Knowledge of GIS/CAD drafting principles, standards, techniques and procedures.
· Ability to create and/or modify drawings from engineer-provided markups with a high level of attention to details.
· Proficiency with Windows operating system environments.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams. etc.
· Strong professional verbal and written communication skills within a team environment.
· Highly organized and efficient.
· Ability to perform tasks in a fast-paced engineering/production environment.
